2. pick one section you think you did poorly on and what you could have done to make it better
3. pick the section you did the best color scheme on and describe the theme

tape this to the back of the paper with a piece of masking tap

If you art finished with the tiger- get your toolbox, sharpen pencil and get out ruler, get piece of paper from front and fold hamburger 2 times- hold horizontally- and put name in bottom right corner.

Copy these terms in the top left corner

Space- the area around, above, below and within objects- positive and negative spaces

Perspective - the use of lines and angles to create the illusion of space

6 ways to create perspective-

Overlapping- Placing one object over another

Size- size and placement of objects create space

Placement- Placement on the page

Details-closer objects have greater details

Color- atmosphere causes colors to fade in the distance

Lines- can be used to draw the objects to actual points on the horizon line

Horizon line- the apparent line where earth and sky meet

Vanishing point- the point where lines converge into the distance

1 point perspective- or parallel perspective- the center of vision is at one point where lines converge to the vanishing point on the horizon line.

Pinch, Coil, and Slab piece

You will get a piece of clay that you will use to demonstrate your expertise with the 3 pottery techniques I taught you last week. The piece can be functional or decorative, but it has to use all 3 of the techniques put together correctly- I will be watching you as you work. They do not have to all be “put” together- example like a mobile. Creativity and craftsmanship are very high.

Monday- get your blue mat- cleanup tool- cup of cool water- walmart sack without holes- and tape- put your name on the tape with the sharpie or ink pen.

Make sure to protect the clay from drying out- you can start with any technique – when you finish for the day make sure to secure all clay in the sack without air getting to the clay- and put the tape on the top of the bag for identification.

2. divide clay in to 2 parts – large part and small part
3. make slab base/ or coiled base
4. roll coils
5. slip and score base and coil with tooth brush
6. build to desired height
7. name on inside bottom with 09
8. put up greenware and clean up work space
